WASHINGTON -- Neither Charlie Manuel nor Jimmy Rollins can remember a stretch quite like the one Philadelphia is enduring now. NIke Free Run Womens Sale . Stephen Strasburg pitched a four-hitter and struck out 10 in the first complete game of his career, Jayson Werth had his second straight three-hit game and the Washington Nationals completed a three-game sweep with a 6-0 victory over the Phillies on Sunday night. Outscored 23-7 over the weekend, Philadelphia has lost 17 of 20. The Phillies never had a runner in scoring position during their 11th straight road loss. "Its been tough," Manuel said. "Since Ive been managing in the major leagues, this is definitely the toughest stretch weve ever had." The sweep denied Manuel the 1,000th win of his managing career. At 52-65, the Phillies are three games behind the third-place Mets in the NL East and open a three-game series Monday in Atlanta. "Id have to go back and look, but I dont think Ive ever had a stretch like this either," shortstop Rollins said. "Weve had some stretches where we lost some games in a row, but wed find a way to put some wins in a row right after that. But it isnt happening right now." Kevin Frandsen had two of the Phillies four hits. Philadelphia had not been swept by the Nationals-Expos franchise in a series of three games or more since losing a four-game series from August 25-28, 2003, while in Montreal. "Some games were losing were getting outplayed, but some games were not making the right plays," Rollins said. "Were not making pitches, were not getting the hits, and that makes it very tough when youre out there playing and youre battling and you hope to come up with the big hit. Sometimes you will, sometimes you wont. We havent at all." Strasburg (6-9) dominated the reeling Phillies for his first win since July 7 against San Diego. The Nationals had lost five straight games started by the right-hander. "Hed get ahead of us with either his fastball or his breaking ball. Hes tough," Manuel said. "His breaking ball really set up his fastball later in the middle innings until the end of the game. He was good. Power when he wanted it." Washington scored two runs in the fourth and three in the fifth against Kyle Kendrick (10-9), who surrendered 11 hits -- all singles -- over 5 1-3 innings. Making his fourth start against the Nationals this season, Kendrick allowed six runs, four earned. Hes 3-5 in his last eight starts with a 7.07 ERA. "Its just been frustrating the last few starts for me," Kendrick said. Werth, who had a go-ahead, two-run homer among his three hits Saturday, delivered an RBI single in the first inning to give Washington a 1-0 lead. Steve Lombardozzi also had three hits, including an RBI single. In between wins, Strasburg went 0-3 with 4.93 ERA in five starts. Two of Strasburgs six victories on the season have come against the Phillies. Strasburgs biggest stress came starting the second inning. He winced after throwing a second straight ball to Domonic Brown, leading to a visit from the Nationals training staff. After walking Brown on four pitches -- the only walk he issued -- Strasburg struck out Darin Ruf and Cody Asche on his way to retiring 14 of the next 15 batters. The right-hander has allowed two or fewer runs in 11 of 13 home starts. "It felt good," Strasburg said of finishing the game. "Its something that you try and do every time out. Ive learned how to go out there and get outs with less pitches." Wilson Ramos and Denard Span each had RBI singles in the fourth inning. Chase Utleys throwing error in the fifth allowed two runners to score. Lombardozzi tacked on an RBI single for the Nationals third run of the inning. Notes: Philadelphias last road win came July 19 at Cincinnati in its first game after the All-Star break. ... Brown has a six-game hitting streak. . The Phillies road trip continues at Atlanta on Monday with LHP Cole Hamels (4-13, 3.81 ERA) facing RHP Julio Teheran (9-5, 2.96). Nike Free Run Sale Clearance .S. hockey team after paying his dues as an NHL general manager for more than three decades and giving up a lot of his free time to help USA Hockey. Nike Free Run Shoes Cheap . -- Matt Kuchar and Harris English ran away with the Franklin Templeton Shootout, shooting a 14-under 58 on Sunday in the final-round scramble to break the tournament course record. http://www.freerunsforcheap.com/ . LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Kentucky looks to reach what has been an elusive plateau when the Wildcats host a Georgia squad desperate to halt a stunning freefall. Those are just some of the stakes in Saturday nights matchup between teams on opposite paths. Georgia (4-4, 2-4 Southeastern Conference) has lost four of five entering the matchup with the Wildcats (5-3, 4-2 SEC), who have won five of six including three in a row and look to become bowl eligible for the first time since 2010.The Bulldogs aim to halt Kentuckys quest by ending their own slide that has them on the brink of falling below .500 after being in the Top 25 just over a month ago. Georgia managed just 164 yards of offense in last weeks 24-10 loss to No. 10 Florida in Jacksonville, an effort it cant duplicate against a Kentucky team thats rolling in many areas.Weve got to be able to answer the things they give us, first-year Georgia coach Kirby Smart said, whether its throwing the ball, whether its running the ball outside or running the ball out of more spread formations. It certainly hasnt been as consistent as wed like it to be.Kentucky has shown a lot of resiliency since starting 0-2. Just two weeks ago the Wildcats postseason hopes seemed destined to take a serious blow before they rallied past Mississippi State 40-38 on a 51-yard field goal as time expired. They beat Missouri 35-21 last week.Whether that gut check was a turning point in Kentuckys season remains to be seen. But it has definitely given the Wildcats confidence they can achieve anything -- including their best SEC mark in recent memory. It says a lot about this teams character, Kentucky coach Mark Stoops said of the run. I dont think any one thing has changed over the past five or six weeks, this has been going on for a long time. Coaches have worked hard for many years, doing things to put players in position to do good things.---Some other things to watch as Georgia visits Kentucky:TTRENCH WARRIORS: Kentucky has averaged 299 yards rushing per game during its win streak and 261 per outing over the past six games. Nike Free Run Shoes On Sale. Credit goes to a deep offensive line anchored by senior center Jon Toth that has blended experience and youth after being sometimes criticized at times. It feels good to be appreciated, Toth said, but weve always come out and tried to run the ball and protect the quarterback. Were not doing anything different, just trying to do it as best we can every week.DEFENSIVE `DAWGS: Georgia remains one of the SECs top defensive teams, ranking fourth with an average of 326.1 yards allowed per contest. Theyre also fourth against the rush (109.8) but face a big challenge against Kentuckys ground game thats averaging more than double that amount (219.5) behind the duo of Boom Williams and Benny Snell.BIG-PLAY BADET: Not overshadowed by Boom N Benny is Kentucky wide receiver Jeff Badet, who has 243 yards and three TDs on 10 receptions the past two weeks with the scores covering 40, 44 and 65 yards. Jeff has stepped up big and we needed him to, Stoops said.NO HANGOVER: No matter how Georgia has fared against Florida, a game better known as The Worlds Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, the following game has recently provided an upside. The Bulldogs have won the past nine games following the Jacksonville showdown, including three wins over Kentucky.NOSE FOR THE BALL: Junior college transfer Naquez Pringle has been a force at nose guard for the Wildcats since debuting at Florida. He ranks 11th on the team with 24 tackles the past seven games and made five tackles each against the Gators and Vanderbilt. A defense that was the SECs worst a few weeks ago has improved to 10th at 421.2 yards allowed per game.---More AP college football: www.collegefootball.ap.org ;Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From ChinaCheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
